Skiing in the Alps

If you are a ski-lover, you should visit the Alps once in your life. Ski areas are many and extend to different countries such as: Italy, Austria, Germany, France and Switzerland.

In this article I’d like to introduce you to Folgarida and Marilleva ski area (Ski.it/Folgarida-Marilleva). Although it isn’t listed among the most famous Alps slopes, it is a paradise of snow and entertainment to me. Skiers, snowboarders and freestylers can enjoy 60 km of slopes.

Hotels, apartments and restaurants are conveniently located by the ski area or just a few kilometres away in picturesque small villages of Trentino Alto Adige (Italy), such as: Ossana, Pellizzano and Mezzana.

During the day, you can enjoy your meal at one of the several lodges and chalets, but I warmly recommend you the Malga Vigo bar and restaurant. At dinner, you should instead move to Ossana village and book a table at Il Maniero restaurant. Both places offer traditional local dishes which, believe me, are worth a try.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Lodge/chalet: Malga Vigo (Marilleva)
  • Restaurant: Il Maniero (Ossana)
